Call for Final Papers

Final Papers should be submitted using the online application. As with all ICA congresses, ICA 2016 will feature Proceedings. All technical presentations will have a corresponding proceedings manuscript. The official language of the International Congress on Acoustics is English.

Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics (POMA): Because ICA 2016 is co-sponsored by the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), authors will have the option of submitting appropriately formatted versions of their papers to Proceedings of Meetings on Acoustics (POMA). POMA is an editor-reviewed, online, open-access proceedings journal. All camera-ready manuscripts must conform to POMA formatting requirements (see the authors tab at http://scitation.aip.org/POMA for instructions). Submission to POMA will be available after the ICA meeting, in order to provide authors the opportunity to provide any updates to the ICA version of their proceedings paper. For accepted papers whose corresponding authors are not ASA members, there will be a publication fee of $40 USD (publication is free, if one of the authors is an ASA member).

Peer review

Those who during abstract submission process has checked the box asking that your paper be peer reviewed, because of the limited time and resources, we are requiring that reviews be conducted only if necessary to obtain travel funds. Therefore, we are requiring justification of the need for review in an email to me. This email must be received by 15 May 2016. To permit time for review, your paper must also be submitted by 15 May 2016. If both (email and paper) are not received by 15 May 2016, your paper cannot not be reviewed. The review will far less rigorous than a peer review as conducted for journals reviewers. Time permits only one reviewer who will be asked to either 1) recommend acceptance without revision, 2) recommend acceptance with minor revisions, e.g. minor corrections to wording and/formatting, or 3) rejection. Recommendation of rejection will be final. There will be no time for revisions or appeals for rejection.
